We appreciate your interest in writing for K! Magazine. The editorial team at K! Magazine is looking for great articles and stories related to children's ministry. If you have something you think is worth saying, talk to us!

As a practical hands-on publication, K! Magazine editorial content is written by and for people in the front lines of children's ministry. Articles by those with no ministry experience will not typically be accepted for publication.




Let us learn from your successes. Tell us what is working for you. Got a great game? A new way to get red kool-aid out of the carpet? A magic machine that produces nursery workers? Tell us about it and include some pictures!

Let us learn from your mistakes. What did you do that did NOT work? We hear success stories constantly. It's time to hear about the big flops. Let's laugh and learn together. Your flop might land its' way into the Oops File!


What can you write about? Great question. Here are our themes for 2011:
January/February: Family Ministry
March/April: Summertime Ministry
May/June: Spiritual Disciplines
July/August: Foundational Leadership
September/October: Move It: Ministry Outside the Walls
November/December: Creativity



1) We prefer that submissions be sent via email attachment as a Word document.

2) Please send as many high-quality pictures as you can that may be included in the article. For example, if you are writing about after-school ministry, send us at least a dozen pictures of what this ministry looks like.

3) Please follow these guidelines: A) no more than 1500 words, B) all Bible quotations must be in NASB, C) submit your article 4 months prior to a theme's release date.
