Choose one child to step outside the room for a moment. While they are gone, tell the rest of the group the "secret rule." The rule can be anything simple, such as:

• You must stand on one foot while answering.

Invite the child back into the room and allow them to ask questions to different kids. Their goal is to figure out the secret rule by observing everyone's responses.

Start telling a simple story.

For example:
